Can relationship compatibility be read from a complete chart?

Compatibility does not fit inside one Sun sign. Synastry places two charts side by side to give language to a dynamic, without predicting where a relationship will go.

Two charts, one relational question

A natal chart gathers astrological positions calculated for a birth. Synastry considers the contacts between those two charts: for instance, one person’s planet close to another’s. They are reading markers, not a compatibility score.

The Sun may illuminate a way of taking one’s place; the Moon, a need for safety or rhythm; Venus and Mars, a way of relating or taking initiative. Reading them together keeps a single element from carrying the whole story.

What changes the reading

A birth time makes it possible to calculate the Ascendant, houses and angles. When it is known, it adds context to the encounter between two charts. When it is unknown, those elements are left out rather than guessed.

Aspects — angular distances between two celestial bodies — do not say that a bond will be easy or difficult. They suggest a place to observe: how two people speak, organise closeness, move through disagreement or work together.

A reading for observation

A useful analysis keeps its nuance: supportive contacts can coexist with friction. The result is neither a verdict nor a diagnosis. It helps return to a concrete experience and name what may be worth discussing.

Astroflair calculates positions with Swiss Ephemeris, then offers a relational reading. Calculation supplies the markers; interpretation remains a symbolic framework and does not replace conversation or professional support.
